Assist – Personal Activities

Respectful personal care to help you feel comfortable, confident and supported.

What is

Personal Care support?

Assist – Personal Activities provides practical support with personal care tasks that may be difficult to manage on your own.
A support worker can help with your daily routines in the morning, throughout the day and at night, depending on your needs and NDIS plan.

We work in ways that protect your dignity, respect your privacy and follow your preferred routines as closely as possible.

Personal care tasks we can assist with

Personal care can look different for everyone. Depending on your needs, we can support you with:

  • Showering and bathing – assistance with washing, drying and getting in and out safely

  • Dressing and undressing – choosing clothes, getting dressed and using fastenings

  • Grooming and hygiene – brushing teeth, hair care, shaving and skincare

  • Toileting and continence care – including transfers, clothing and hygiene support

  • Mobility and transfers – moving safely in and around the home, using mobility aids or equipment

  • Eating and drinking – assistance with meals, feeding support and safe swallowing guidance from allied health, if applicable

  • Medication prompts – reminding you to take medication as prescribed (where appropriate under your plan)

We’ll talk with you about what you feel comfortable with and how you like things done.

Who Is This Service For?

This service is suitable for NDIS participants who:

  • Need some or full assistance with personal care tasks

  • Are at risk of falls or injury when attempting tasks alone

  • Experience pain, fatigue or mobility issues that make daily routines difficult

  • Have goals around maintaining independence, hygiene and wellbeing

  • Want to reduce the strain on family members or carers

We can provide support in your own home, in supported accommodation or in other living environments.

How our personal care support works

  1. We understand your needs and preferences
We talk about what you need help with, when you prefer support (mornings, evenings, specific days) and how you like things to be done.

  2. We develop a personal care routine
Together we create a plan that outlines the tasks we’ll assist with and how often visits are needed.

  3. We provide consistent support
Our workers follow your care plan and routines, aiming for consistency and familiarity wherever possible.

  4. We review and adjust over time
As your needs or preferences change, we update your personal care plan so it continues to work for you.
