Assist Access / Maintain Employment
Practical support to find, start and keep a job that suits your strengths.
What is
Employment support under the NDIS?
Assist Access / Maintain Employment is support that helps you get ready for work, find a job and keep it.
This can include:
Understanding what types of work might suit you
Helping you apply for jobs and attend interviews
Providing support once you’ve started work to help you settle in and manage your role
The aim is to give you the ongoing support you need so employment feels achievable and sustainable.
Ways we can help
with work and employment
Depending on your goals, skills and NDIS plan, we can support you with:
Work readiness – building routines, time management and workplace expectations
Exploring job options – identifying your strengths, interests and suitable types of work
Resumes and job applications – creating resumes, writing cover letters and applying for roles
Interview preparation – practising common questions, planning transport and managing nerves
On-the-job support – helping you learn tasks, understand instructions and communicate with colleagues or supervisors
Problem-solving at work – support to manage challenges, sensory needs, communication issues or changes at work
Maintaining employment – ongoing check-ins, adjustments and coordination with your employer or support services (with your consent)
