Daily Tasks / Shared Living

Support to live well at home — on your own or with others.

What is

Daily Tasks / Shared Living support?

Daily Tasks / Shared Living support is designed to assist you with the day-to-day activities involved in living at home, especially in a shared or supported living arrangement.
A support worker can help you with personal care, household chores, cooking, routines and getting to and from activities, while encouraging you to be as independent as possible.

This can be a few hours a week, or more regular support, depending on your needs and NDIS plan.

Daily tasks we can support you with

Support can look different for everyone, but may include:

  • Personal care – showering, dressing, grooming and hygiene

  • Meal planning & cooking – planning simple meals, shopping for ingredients, cooking and cleaning up

  • Household chores – cleaning, laundry, making beds and keeping shared areas tidy

  • Routines & time management – setting up morning, evening and weekly routines that work for you

  • Managing shared spaces – taking turns with chores, respecting others’ space and living well with housemates

  • Getting out & about – attending appointments, day programs, work, study or social activities from your home base

We work with you to decide which tasks you’d like help with and how much support you need.

Who Is This Service For?

This service is suitable for NDIS participants who:

  • Are living in or moving into a shared or supported living environment

  • Live alone but need regular help around the home

  • Want to build skills for independent or semi-independent living

  • Need support with personal care, housework or managing routines

  • Have goals related to living more independently, moving out of home or reducing reliance on family

We can support you in your current home or in a new living arrangement, depending on your situation.

How Our Support Works

  • We get to know your living situation
We talk about where you live now (or where you’re moving), who you live with and what daily life looks like for you.

  • We plan your support together
We identify the areas where you’d like help — personal care, meals, cleaning, routines, community access — and match them to your NDIS funding.

  • We support you at home
Our workers support you with daily tasks, while encouraging you to be as involved and independent as you feel comfortable.

  • We adjust as things change
If your home situation, goals or health change, we review and update your support so it continues to fit your life.
